about

‘Lady Blue’ is what my grandmother called the sea. The sea is majestic, is graceful, is mysterious and so alluring. It creates this image in my mind and takes me back to when I would spend time with my family on Groote and Bickerton camping and going fishing and diving in the sea. How me and my cousins would sit there and listen to the dreaming stories over and over again no matter how many times we had heard it. I was thinking "Ancient Mermaid" kind of feel when I wrote this song.

lyrics

Lady blue
I feel the waves in my hair so calm and cool
Perfect no despair
I wish I could
Swim here forever miss lady blue
Me and you

Run run down the way that we go
Pulling up picking up the sand in our toes
Pass down the whistling trees
Lady blue she is calling me

Blue...oh miss lady
Blue..

Nana said
Don’t ever be afraid of her
Her soul is pure
Clearer than a crystal and the moon
And I believe that she told the truth
Cause ever since my heart is in the sea

Run run down the way that we go
Pulling up picking up the sand in our toes
Pass down the whistling trees
Lady blue she is calling me

Blue...oh miss lady
Blue..

Miss lady blue
Lady blue lady blue
Oh miss lady blue
